LUCE was born in Hasselt, Belgium. She studied Graphic Arts at the St.Lucas Academy of Art in Antwerp, Belgium. She is also a painter.
In 1975 she graduated and moved to Paris, since when she has worked in several prestigious print studios among which Atelier Lacouriere and Atelier 17, where she met Stanley William Hayter. She was for many years the assistant at Atelier 63.
Since 2006 she has lived between Paris and London. She is a regular artist in residence at The Frans Masereel Center in Kasterlee, Belgium and a member of the East London Printmakers, London and Le Trait in Paris.

LUCE has exhibited widely and has participated in many International Print Exhibitions. Her work is represented by galleries in France, Belgium, England, Dublin, New York and Australia.

Her work is to be found in many Public Collections amongst which museums in Mexico, The Republic of Georgia, Seoul, The Royal Museum of Fine Arts (Antwerp), The Belgian Royal Library Albert I (Brussels), the Frans Masereel Center, The French National Library (BNF-Paris), York College (England) and The Victor and Albert Museum (London).
